ARK BUNKER is the synthesis of two parallel research efforts: a full feasibility study on a 200-person DAO-governed underground community at Svalbard, and a 10-year global rollout plan that turns the pilot into a multi-continent resilience network.

The premise is straightforward: an underground bunker is a 20th-century artifact unless the rules that govern it cannot be unilaterally rewritten. The 2024 Vivos xPoint $17M lawsuit proved the point. We invert the architecture: code is law, but only after code has been ratified by humans and protected from a single owner.

In a 15,000m³ sealed volume, CO₂ rises from 400ppm to the 1,000ppm danger threshold in 1.3 hours. Plants alone cannot keep humans alive in a closed space. The CDRA molecular sieve chemical adsorption system must be the first engineering priority. Plants provide food and psychological benefit , not air regeneration.

There is no soil at 79°N, and importing it is a one-way ticket for contamination. ARK grows food in a sealed cubic module where roots hang in open air and are fed by a 5 to 20 micron nutrient mist. Ten stacked layers turn 173 m³ of rock cavity into 240 m² of production surface. Two modules in N+1 produce about 108 kg/d against a 200-person vegetable requirement of 80 kg/d, leaving 35% margin for disease loss and maintenance downtime. Grain is the honest gap: aeroponic wheat and rice remain at pilot scale at 5 to 10 times the energy cost per kilocalorie of leafy greens. The CO₂ problem becomes the CO₂ supply. CO₂ 难题,变成 CO₂ 供给。

When the CDRA molecular sieve regenerates, it releases a concentrated CO₂ stream that would otherwise be vented. We meter it into the grow chamber at 1,000 to 1,200 ppm, where C3 crops typically gain 20 to 30% yield. Plants still absorb only 3.4% of what humans exhale, so CDRA remains the primary control. Aeroponics is not an energy trick. 气雾栽培不是省电魔法。

Lighting energy is set by the crop's daily light integral, not by the growing method. Aeroponics saves water (about 95%), nutrient (about 60%), space (10x land multiplier) and labour (0.4 FTE per module). It does not save electricity. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. 照明能耗由作物需光量(DLI)决定,与栽培方式无关。气雾省的是水(约 95%)、肥(约 60%)、空间(10 倍土地倍率)和人工(0.4 FTE/舱),不省电。任何声称气雾能省电的说法,都是在卖东西。

Can aeroponics really feed 200 people, including grain and fruit? 空气种植真能养活 200 人吗?包括粮食和水果?
Vegetables and fruit, yes. Grain, not yet. Two cubic modules of 10 layers and 240 m² each produce about 108 kg/d of fresh produce, covering the 200-person vegetable requirement of 80 kg/d with 35% margin, plus strawberry, tomato, pepper and aeroponic potato minitubers. Grain is the honest gap: aeroponic wheat and rice remain at pilot scale, at 5 to 10 times the energy cost per kilocalorie of leafy greens. The physical site at Svalbard is under Norwegian jurisdiction but the DAO's legal wrapper is fully decoupled from physical location.
